Welcome 2008!

Looks like we made it through 2007 if you're reading here this morning.

I made it to midnight, watched Dick Clark get his wifely New Year's Kiss and I was off to bed like a shot.

The dachsies partied hardy---chips, cookies and one Lil Smokie each. I filled up on chips and Lil Smokies and didn't eat supper. Leftovers for another meal.

Doing the black eyed peas, ham and cornbread thing today as well as watching the Tournament of Roses parade.

And in this frigid, windy weather my daughter wants to take a trip down Memory Lane and go swinging at the park with Mom today. I may not get out of the first day of 2008 alive.

As far as resolutions go, I resolve not to have any. It works for me. I do plan to walk more and hope that the fibro realizes that it's supposed to make me feel better and not worse.

I also have an idea for Kiereney's quilt-GASP-I thought I would NEVAH say the Q word again in this lifetime. But this sounds like fun. Going to trace the hand of all the important people in her life(family, friends and dachshunds) onto material and applique them onto quilt squares. She's sentimental like her mom and with her grandparents reaching that golden age, she will like a way to keep them close to her always.

This is the first day of the rest of your life. Be good to you.

Have a fantastic first day of 2008!

Oh the quilt sounds like a nice idea. I'm sick of making them as well, but found myself designing one in my head the other day. Not as sick as I thought, maybe. lol
