The Little Things In Life Mean So Much

Meeting up with a childhood neighbor that you have not seen in 40 years who now runs her father's restaurant and insisting that decadent dessert was "on the house" when we ate our fabulous lobster and steak anniversary dinner there Tuesday night.

Staring at the beautiful clock hanging in my living room complete with pendulum and chimes on the hour that my husband hung for me yesterday. It is my grandchild clock, much smaller than the grandfather clock I hoped to have someday but bringing a smile to my face every time it chimes.

Finishing the Fall decorations on the "military shrine" as my daughters call my collection of Army bears on the top of our entertainment center.

For the first time this September lighting the new Cafe Au Lait Yankee candles in the living room and enjoying the aroma last night.

Me in my recliner embroidering and listening to my Ipod in the living room, Roger in his recliner reading and listening to his CD player and catching each other gazing at the other with hearts full of love and contentment.

Hearing the laughter, relief and joy in my son's voice as he calls to check on me from Virginia where he is reuniting with friends and relaxing without worrying about being paid.

Making the reservations to go to Georgia in mid September to meet the Georgia Blogger Girls of Peach/Laura, Alice, Stephanie and Katie/Lenny!

Having wonderful blog friends like you! I am so blessed.

Awwww, How nice is that. I am happy that Michael is not having to worry about his pay anymore. That can be such a stress inducer.

Happy Anniversary!!

Hi Ness!

I absolutely hate to fly too. I used to love it, but once the kids were born everything changed. My husband tries to give me all the stats on plane crashes and airline safety, but it just goes in one ear and out the other. Oh well!

We will be gone for a week. We fly to London and spend one night there before we fly down to Milan. It will be a great week and I will be sure to take lots of pictures!

Have a great day Ness!

Oh, what a nice post, Ness! And such a nice comment you left me, too! I thank you for that! I'm so glad you and Roger had such a nice anniversary, and I so enjoyed the pix! Isn't it amazing how quickly the time passes? I can hardly believe it, but my next wedding anniversary on April 28, 2009, will be #20!!! And now I need to go get out some Yankee Candles to burn. Aren't they just great? I'm going to have to sniff this cafe au lait...

Hey Ness! I just wanted to say your not the only one with bears. My mom has those military bears that have on really acurate uniforms and hard plastic boots so they can stand up. She loves them, and I just bought her a new one not too long ago that had the new uniform.
