Let Me Call You Sweetheart

because you, wonderful YOU, changed buses on the way to work so you could go to a homemade candy store and bring me THIS:

The chocolate puzzle pieces formed the heart above and you also brought me chocolate pecan fudge and chocolate/walnut/marshmallow fudge.

AND you did it the night before Valentine's day and rocked my world and rendered me speechless with your thoughtfulness! I've just renewed our wedding license for another year. Thank you, babe. All my love for a lifetime, and then some.

And you, my dear little dachsie granddog, Macon. You will be the closest to a grandchild I will ever get and you just made Grandma's world last night when you wanted up in the recliner, snuggled on my shoulder and wanted to be covered up in a blankie...it was 30 minutes of rock and roll lullaby and love all cuddled into one. And it would have been longer had Grandpa not woke you up when he went to heat up supper. But thank you for making me feel like no medicines ever could.

I will be making my way to the grocery store(I have 3 spoons today so that will use 1 of then) and getting supplies to make my favorite Valentine a French chocolate silk pie in an Oreo crumb crust from scratch (And that's the 2nd spoon). I will peruse the aisles until the right combo of food for heavy horse douvers appeals to me and we will be home tonight watching movies and basking in calories.

I wish each of you a special day of love.

To quote Whitney Houston's song, The Greatest Love of All:

Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all

How super sweet of him!

My hubby handed me a book last week, told me I wasn't allowed to read it until Valentine's day, and that was that.

Although we did go out to dinner last night, just he and I. In a raging snow storm. I think it was the thought that counted though, but I'm not exactly sure yet.

Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours!

Have a great Valentine's Day Ness. It would be so nice if you made it up to Maine this summer. Don't come now though - I HIGHLY recommend waiting until all the snow melts. That should be sometime in JULY!!!!

What an amazing pic of doxie love. Made me smile from ear to ear.

Have the most amazing day possible - borrow a few spoons from tomorrow if need be. It's worth it!

Hee Hee... I run on spoons too! I have enough to get through the day if there are no surprises!

What a lovely gift of chocolate and an even better one in a puppy cuddle. I love it when my doglets do that!

Have a lovely day! I won't see my beloved so give yours an extra hug for me!

We just wanted to stop and say Happy Valentine's Day to Ness and the dachsies. Everyone else too, but they are the ones who leave us messages.
