Ode to Dachshundstrong

Ooh, and it's alright an it's coming on
We gotta get right back to where we started from
Love is good, love can be strong
We gotta get right back to where we started from

Do you remember the day (that sunny day)
When you first came my way
I said, no one could take your place
And if you get hurt (if you get hurt)
By the little things I say
I can put that smile back on your face

Ooh, and it's alright and it's coming on
We gotta get right back to where we started from
Love is good, love can be strong
We gotta get right back to where we started from

A love like ours (a love like ours)
Can never fade away
You know it's only just begun
You give me your love (give me your love)
I just can't stay away, no, no
I know you are the only one

Ooh, and it's alright and it's coming on
We gotta get right back to where we started from
Love is good, love can be strong
We gotta get right back to where we started from

You give me your love (give me your love)
I just can't stay away, no
I know you are the only one

Ooh, you know it's alright and it's coming on
We gotta get right back to where we started from
Love is good, love can be strong
We gotta get right back to where we started from

It's alright and it's coming on
We gotta get right back to where we started from
Love is good, love can be strong
We gotta get right back to where we started from

It's alright and it's coming on
We gotta get right back to where we started from
Love is good, love can be strong
We gotta get right back to where we started from

I started DachshundStrong as a place to go with my thoughts, feelings, memories. You see, between the fibro and the radioactive iodine treatment for my thyroid cancer, my memory has taken a severe hit. What I remember at this moment I may not remember tomorrow. So I wanted a place that would have what I can't/might not remember so I could read it. And a place to have an insight of myself for my family and friends.

WYSIWYG(What You See Is What You Get). I keep it real here. If the Depression Monster runs rampant, you're gonna read it here first. Cause that's how I roll. I gotta be me. If I'm havin' a bad day, you're gonna see it here, too, as well as if it's a phenomenal or happy or sad or whatever day.

Thanks to all of you who sent emails/comments on the blog. It meant a lot, more than I can ever find words to express.

So this morning, I thought the lyrics at the top of this were perfect...I gotta get it right back to where I started from here at DachshundStrong. With some of the most brilliant, beautiful, insightful, caring blogfriends I could ever in my wildest dreams hope to find. So much, that one of Roger's projects after Tuesday will be to map us out some Blogapalooza trips so I can meet as many of you as I can. If Hallie and Company pull out a Boston Blogapalooza this Fall, we'll be there. Gonna start with Catty Axe since she's right across the Mississippi from me when the Junion Mint will allow her time to do so
and then hope to meet up with a blogger who's heading up this way for lunch sometime soon.

And thanks for the advice. You know, I've found out that it takes a lot out of a person to give advice, especially if you're me, cause I pour my heart and soul into it and make sure what I say is quality stuff. And part of the problem lately is that I'm pouring too much of me into it(long story short). So Roger and the cave(and my dachsies and Nurse Lenny---gotta love Lenny at CuppaJoe)have put Ness back together again and the priorities are in order...keeping my soldiers CJ and Michael prayed for and lit with enough candles to bring 'em home safely, doing what I want to do and making sure I get 24 out of every 24. And keeping up with my quotes and music, for I do believe in music.

So, DachshundStrong is back and I'm right back where I started from.

Have a phenomenal Thursday.

And know this, and know this deep...my life would not be the same without my blogger friends.

And we don't know what we'd do without our Ness. Glad that your better, but it's OK to just let it all out here. That is why so many of us started our blogs. And the best part? We are strong for each other, so at times we can be the weak ones. You have been an awesome friend - even through the blogs and I hope you will continue to find what you need by blogging.

I'm right there with you, holding hands with the Depression Monster.

Maybe if we ignore it, it will get bored and go away. Ya think?

I love your attitude, Nessie. Living with a chronic illness means prioritizing and pacing. Looks like Roger is helping you to refocus on doing those things. Planning this little whirlwind of a trip will bring you a lot of joy, and that is a very good thing!

Big hugs,
Deb

Ness, I too have fibromyalgia, along with my neuropathy, so girlfriend, I know how you feel. Depression sucks but you have the right attitude abut it. I think you are great Ness, and hope one day I will be one of your blogger friends. We seem alot alike. Keep the faith my friend, and glad that you are back. I prayed for you and will continue to do so. God Bless you and know you are loved.

Love,
Debbie

That IS how you roll Ness, that's why we love you! I think that you have every right to put down whatever you want on your own blog. It is, rather bluntly, your business!

Loved the song, needed that smile today for sure.

I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better! I'm glad you feel that you can "talk" to us about things that are happening in your life. We are all here for you!
