Sad Milestone Reached-Easter Pics

We now have reached 4000 soldiers killed in the Iraq War.

My heartfelt prayers for the 4 who were killed over the weekend and their families.

This all needs to stop. Like 5 years ago. God bless our soldiers everywhere who are preparing to or putting their life on the line for our country.

Roger is off to work and left me with the dachsies. I think they're as tired as I am. It's not easy begging kids to drop a Cheerio on the floor so you can scoop it up and play vacuum-cleaner for your mom. They see it as helping out. I think they're helping their tummies out! Anyway, the boys didn't drop any of them this weekend so it was slim pickin's for Shania and Macon.

I have to confess something...and this will probably convince you beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am certifiably ready to be locked up! I was making a layered dessert for Easter on Saturday afternoon called Banana Split Cake. You layer graham cracker crumbs, a cream cheese/powdered sugar mixture, pineapple, sliced bananas, Cool Whip, nuts and cherries.

Kathy and Roger were in the kitchen with me. Roger was being my sous chef as I was at the table and barely able to move my arms to make the dessert. Kathy had given me the original recipe years ago. Roger has made the dessert before. So everyone knew how it was to be put together.

The clowns let me assemble the dessert WITHOUT ADDING THE LAYER OF BANANAS.

Now it is an imposter..Banana Split Cake-NOT! I discovered this Sunday morning when I looked and saw the basket of bananas. Unbelievable!

Roger took Easter pics of Cade, Carter, Kathy and Bobby. I managed to dodge the camera yesterday and we were so busy fixing dinner and eating that we never got pics of the table or my kids. Enjoy!
