Wow-Like Everyday is Now the Weekend!

Don't have to get up early for Roger to go to work(but I still do because I'm wired like that.)

Don't have to go to bed the minute the 10:00 news is off cause Roger doesn't have to go to work(I actually stayed up last night until almost 11:30 reading Jodi Picoult's newest book)

Every day is weekend breakfast day now because we don't have to save the crepes or waffles for weekends where there is more time to cook and not have to rush off to work.

But Fridays are still special cause I do not have to work, hence my late posting this morning. I got up, watched some craft shows, read, ate crepes for breakfast, put in a load of laundry, censored the census taker who came to the door that Mr. Campbell let in to do his census(Mr. Campbell claims he checked him for ID first--(had I answered the door, my cell phone would have been in my hand and we would of have this little meet-and-greet in the hallway outside of my apartment. ), lectured Mr. Campbell on how we roll here in the daytime when it was just us "girs" and gave him my speech on you can never be too trusting, too careful when people come to your door, etc. and now I'm checking up on my blog family.

Tomorrow we leave at 0500 to pick up Michael and head to Ft. Campbell to get his Class A dress uniform for his commissioning, have it fitted, all the braids and patches put on and then back to Herrin where we're meeting up with the daughters, Kathy's crew and going out to eat to celebrate Roger's birthday and retirement. Then we're heading back home so it will be a busy day. We *could* have stayed in Herrin tonight but the dachsies are getting to the point where they prefer the comfort of their own beanbags so we try to make just day trips now. And I just decided to bring the camera so I can document Michael at Ft. Campbell getting his ClassA's, etc. So looks like I will have blog material for Sunday!

Our printer arrived yesterday and Roger hooked it up but having trouble getting it and the wireless and the hub and his computer to play nicely together so he's having to unload and reload. He can't even get on Internet on his computer and you KNOW how devastating THAT is. I'm sure it's just a setting issue that didn't get set the right way. We had to have the hub because we both have wireless computers and we need to be able to use the printer from either computer.

So far, going into Day 4 of Retired Life, life is awesome! I didn't expect it to be any other way. We have never been the couple who has to be breathing each other's air 24/7(just MOST of it)and it amazes us how fast the time passes.

Have a scrumdillicious weekend! Supposed to meet up with Peach this weekend but from my end, it's looking like it will be on Sunday as my Saturday is totally booked!

Glad the retirement life is suiting you all so well. I'm sure you are all having a great day with Michael and everyone else. If you can't get Roger's computer working call Dell (I think that is the type of computer you said that he had) and they can help. They are the ones that fixed my wireless. They have all of the new drivers that makes things work right.

Thanks for the kind words for my brother. He read them all and was really touched by the support of "strangers."

Have a great weekend and I am glad that Roger is enjoying retirement!

So glad retirement is going well.

Also, I tagged you for a Meme. It's very thought provoking, but fun too.

Have a lovely weekend!
