I Can Hear Music, Sweet Sweet Music

In my head.

But somewhere between the brain and the mouth it bails.

The short term memory is getting worse. I read in a fibro article this weekend that people with fibro lose their gray and white matter 3 times as fast as those growing old and senile.

I'm not going down without a fight!

I had never heard We Didn't Start the Fire until recently. Catchy tune and when I realized it was about historical events, I thought, "I hate history(sorry Michael) but I love music so if I learn the lyrics to this song, then I can exercise the memory, learn history and enjoy it via the world of music!"

So my goal is September 1 to be able to sing all the lyrics from memory AND know the story behind each historical event.

And yes, thank you, I am crazy for the ones in the back of the room who just asked that question.

The challenge is on.

And in order not to make this post read like an encyclopedia, I will post the historical factors of this song tomorrow...actually, someone has already compiled it for me on Google...you don't think I'm gonna blow away the ENTIRE summer, do you? :-)

And if you are among the 1(that would be me) who didn't know about this song, it's on my new playlist that I just added for the summer months. I've got to get through the heat and horror of humidity that the summer promises somehow and music soothes the savage and hot Ness...

Let the games begin!

And no, we aren't taking bets on whether I can do it or not(at least publically...LOL)

I never did hear that song before I listened to it on you blog. Glad you are enjoying the music on my blog. They are so of my all time favorite songs. The tale of Murphy's Law has been completed.
