My 7 Song Meme Stolen from Lenny and Katie

I'm ready to give up this day due to lack of interest...had another ER trip with KJ last night...extreme head pain, numbness and tingling of face, arms and legs. Got there at 7 p.m.-left at 1 a.m. Demerol/Compazine/Benadryl IV cocktail in the ER that got the pain from a 12 to a 4, new scripts for new pain meds. We see the neurologist on Monday.

Slept about 4 hours and up and going.

I'm even too tired to count the spoon deficit!

So after working some, I'm calling it a day and regrouping in the recliner. KJ is asleep.

But, before I leave you...

I went to check on Lenny and Katie(Cuppa Joe) and saw the meme she had posted.

Ahhhh...music....my choice of drugs.

So I'm posting the meme here with my choices and I'm not going to tag anyone. If you wanna do it, go for it, but leave me a comment so I can come and read your choices!

Instructions: List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now, shaping your spring summer. Post these instructions in your blog along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

My 7 Songs

Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now-Air Supply. I draw such strength from this song. I can see all of my blog friends with arms around each others shoulders belting this out. We're all in it to win tit--Life 101!

Theme from A Summer Place-Percy Faith. Oh man, I LOVED this movie. Takes me back to my first love in a nanosecond(we all had first loves, right?) It's just the perfect summer love song.

Twistin' The Night Away-Sam Cooke. Another one of those "feel good songs" for me. No matter what is going on, I put this song on and everything turns around 360. Another song I'd like to dance with my BlogFriends to.

A Summer Song-Chad and Jeremy. This takes me back to my youth-junior high, to be exact. If playing a song could have connected one junior high guy and one junior high girl, Kelly and I would have been going steady complete with silver ID bracelet jangling on my arm because I wore 2 45RPM records out playing it.(And any coincidence between Kelly and the name I chose for my first child is strictly intentional...lol)

I Can Hear Music-Beach Boys. Oh man, can we all do a group swoon? Smell the Coppertone in the air at the local pool. Hear the Beach Boys blasting from a transister radio near where you're "laying out" because you need to work on your tan or watch to see what friends(read BOYS) were at the pool.

Afternoon Delight-Starland Vocal Band. I laugh every time I hear this song at my own stupidity. I like particular songs for many reasons...the lyrics, the tune, the rhythm. First time I heard this I was at EDS keying in Medicare health claims like there was no tomorrow. Back then there were no earphones...everyone either agreed what station to play out loud or no music at all. This song came on and I was just boppin' and keyin' my little heart out and didn't realize I was singing out loud. One of my coworkers said, "Yeah, we know what's on your mind!" I said, "Yes I do think it would be delightful this afternoon to leave work and stop by the DQ for a cone." Gales and Gales and GALES of laughter broke out and I realized then that I had the TOTALLY.WRONG.TAKE on the song. It was not one of my better moments but I STILL love the song. It brings a smile to my face when I remember how shocked I was that people did THAT in the afternoon and not in the dark of night. lol

Take My Breath Away-Berlin. Do I even need to explain? Oh shades of TopGun and Tom and all that is holy and beautiful and romantic and*sigh*

OK, and in case some of you kids do not know these songs, I made it easy for you and they're on my play list on my blog. Just click and let the music take you...

Love it! I'm swamped at work right now, but I may revist this blog idea later this week. I love music, too, and I have a lot that is really special to me. :)

Get some rest, Ness.

As you can probably imagine, I love every one of your songs. In fact, my very favorite song in the world, forever, is Theme From A Summer Place. I love lots of songs, but that one is always the ultimate favorite. Bill would automatically turn up the volume whenever it would play on the radio in the truck.

Hope KJ continues to do better (it seems strange to type my own initials--HA!). And you? Have you made any calls? Please say yes.

I am sorry KJ is having those dreadful headaches. They need to find something to give her to take before they get that bad! Poor thing and poor Mom! Ness, you are one strong woman, and I admire you greatly.

Love the music. Wind beneath my wings is one of my favorites. Not sure if that is even the title.

Now rest and have you called the doc about YOU?? Please say you have!!

God Bless~
Debbie
