Happy Friday!

It's the beginning of the weekend!

My son will be here for the weekend, arriving tonight for supper. I am so excited!

Yesterday afternoon I spent computer file cleaning, going through my folders and cleaning out what didn't need to be there.

It's almost like looking in a yearbook and finding things you had forgotten were in there.

I came across this presentation linked below and wanted to share it with you.

So many of us are going through trials and tribulations that we have no clue how will end up, but we need to live in the moment.

Right Now

Today would have been my father's 94th birthday. He slipped away from us to the world of Alzheimers about 5 years before he died on Easter Sunday 2001. He was never a cake person and would just as soon have an apple pie. The last birthday I celebrated with him he was in the nursing home as he was not able to be on his own. I made him an apple cobbler and the kids and I took it to him and fed him a small piece. The smile on his face was priceless. I remember him in his wheelchair and the kids taking turns playing catch with him with a big rubber ball. He was so happy and for a moment, I think he knew who we were. He raised boxer dogs and was a major dog person so we got permission to take one of our dogs out to the nursing home for him to hold and he just beamed as he petted the dog and it licked his hands. Happy Birthday, Dad. I'm sure Grandma is baking an apple pie for you and you have all of our family dogs at your side.

Have a wonderful weekend and be kind to yourselves because if you don't, no one will be.
