Keepin' the faith for both me and KJ

UPDATE: As of 2 p.m. temp was 103.1 and she was calling the doctor to see if any lab/x-ray reports were back. The doctor mentioned yesterday that she might have to be admitted for IV antibiotics if the temp didn't come down.

Kiereney Jo's temp went over 103 last night. Her sibs were with her and she had me on the phone. She is one scared, tired-of-being-sick girl. My baby. It breaks my heart. Her brother was gracious enough to pay for her $200 worth of meds for 3 prescriptions. She cried when she found out how much they cost and she wanted him to take them back and get his money(and she knows that can't be done by the drugstore but her fever and fear were talking). Five Levaquin pills cost $120. I hope they work.

I talked to Michael while ago and she was sleeping when he left for work. He goes on leave for a week this Friday back to Virginia to start checking on grad school, AGR jobs and apartments. He has the weight of the world on his shoulders with his sister and mom so I will be glad for him to escape our world for a while and get on with the business of his life. I am so proud of him.

Thank you for your prayers and good thoughts. I slept with the phone next to my head should KJ need me and apparently God stayed with her and let me get some sleep. I will update when I know something more.

Bless your son-he does his job as a brother so well-he takes care of his girls! I know you are proud! Praying that KJ will get better soon and have no more set backs and that you will get some down time as well.

Levaquin is a good drug but I think IV antibiotics is the way to go...She can get IV Levaquin 750mg q 24 hours and if it is going to kill the bug, that will do it. Otherwise she may have to bump up to a different antibiotic.

do they think her shunt is infected? OMG I hope not.

hugs and prayers to your family, Ness.
