Now It Begins

There are two distinct times of the year that I feel led to get my ducks in row...one is in September when school starts and the other is in January.

I don't make resolutions...why set myself up for failure? I do decide what I want to accomplish in the next year.

I'm still working on that but a couple of things I want/have/need to do is go to my son's graduation at Ft. Sill, OK in April, make it to Georgia and meet Alice, Laura, Steph and Katie and whoever else is nearby and make it to Buffalo and from there meet up with Hallie and Kimmy or bust! Those all will be road trips and if any of you live near the routes we're traveling I would like to hook up at least for a cup of coffee or lunch. I won't be like Michelle(Shay's mom) who stayed overnight less than 10 miles from me and didn't let me know until she was leaving...lol. Love ya, Michelle!

Right now I'm one hour from Michael leaving for Ft. Sill and I will not see him until 29 April when he graduates.

I've had all three sibs here together since yesterday along with assorted granddogs and it's been one wild and crazy time.

Kelli will take Kiereney back home on Sunday.

Kelli has put in many apps both with hospitals and with temp agencies just trying to get a cash flow established and a couple of them look promising. Hopefully this next week she will have a start date at one of the temp agencies.

New Years Eve we stayed in, ate pizza and I celebrated New Years with the East Coast folks at 11 my time/12 theirs and went to bed. My plethera of spoons have gone south with the economy so I'm sticking close to home and taking it moment by moment.

I am going back to daily blogging because it is good for my soul. I always read blogs daily but don't always get an update to mine done.

So, what about the rest of you? Anyone starting anything new this New Year of 2009? I am going to start reading one of my Sarah Ban Breathnach books again (Simple Abundance). It's a good way to get your life sorted out.

God be with you til we meet again.

Ness, I am soooo totally sorry that I did not contact you. I swear I did not know you were that close to Scott AFB. I am not too far from Atlanta though, about 8 hours. So if you make it there I will come up to meet you an give you a big hug!

And, you can send me Michaels address as well.

Ness, I really hope your plans come true. You deserve a great year with lots of fun times.

When you make contact with those blogges, you have to promise to take lots of pics. And keep your eye out for that sock monkey that keeps appearing at Hallies house!
