Did anyone get the license number of the lightning bolt that just hit my apartment?
Roger calls from the cardiologist's office...his INR is therapeutic so WEDNESDAY(as in THIS one) they are going to do the cardioversion at 9 a.m. We're talking when they yell, "CLEAR!" and use the paddles. Holy Crap! I needed time to prepare. We have three outcomes...he will convert to normal sinus rhythm, he will stay in atrial flutter or he just won't have a beating heart at all. All thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.
THEN I get an email from my boss who wants me to call...that is never good. Seems like my impeccable transcription skills are needed at USC at a site I worked at over 3 years ago(they do a lot of transplants) and they need me to perform these talents on 3rd shift so I will now be working, starting tonight, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Yeah....just let the shock just soak into your cells...oh, but I'll be getting a shift differential of, maybe an nth of a penny? Save the nth's...get the whole collection! Adapt, adjust and move on. Yes, I LOVED 3rds in ER in my pre fibro, pre chronic fatigue syndrome, pre cancer days. The world was surreal on 3rds....not so much now, however. Did I mention I already worked my shift today when I found this out? Ob-la-di, ob-la-da, life goes ON!
Debbie Jean, Katie went with us to So. Illinois on Saturday and will be coming back with the girls Tuesday afternoon(tomorrow) to stay with us as it seems she behaves better with us(that means sleeps at night only waking up once around 3 a.m.) Sorry I didn't make that clear before.
We're having a cool, cloudy day and I am just loving it while I'm trying to get all in order with my computer files before I work again tonight. We're having Michael's birthday dinner tonight as he will be in So. Illinois on Wednesday, his actual birthday. He will celebrate with Kathy, Bobby, Cade and Kiereney on Wednesday night with a cake I ordered for them.
Just another Manic Monday in Belleville, IL.
Be safe and be happy!
