Not Many Things Make Me Speechless

but in the last 24 hours the same person has made it happen twice:

1) When I saw that CJ made it through SERE, I tried to call Hallie to congratulate her and celebrate on the phone but she wasn't home. Unfortunately, this is the 2nd time I had ever tried to call Hallie and only got the voicemail. I jokingly said to CJ that I was glad I got to blog about him Saturday since his mom was blowin' off my phone calls.

I get an email from Hallie saying that she COULDN'T answer her phone when she was NOT even at home, but off visiting her new beautiful niece Sarah(and does ANYONE REMEMBER that she said she was going to be out of town?!?) I didn't think so.....anyway, we exchanged cell phone numbers and I called her AND SHE ANSWERED! She is simply delightful! I didn't keep her long since they had just gotten home from seeing Sarah, but when we did hang up, I looked over at Roger and said, "I feel like I've just talked to someone I've known forever!" She is everything I thought she would be, and more. I think we should meet! Does Amtrak run to WhereverHallieIs, Maine? I had a smile on my face the rest of the night after talking to her.

2)Hallie from Wonderful World of Wieners(WHY won't it let me make a link? I EVEN read the directions! Help someone!) awarded that to my blog today along with 9 others you can see at her blog. I.was.speechless. I waved to Roger to come over and look at the computer and he smiled. I will post this award proudly on my blog. Thank you so much, Hallie. You can't know what it means to me.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the blog I wrote in my head while walking to the library Saturday 4.5 miles round trip to return my overdue Patricia Cornwell books. I was gonna post it for today but somewhere between then and now I've been completely.blown.away by a fellow blogger and hopefully forever friend.

Thank you again, Hallie.

You forever rock.

Congrats Ness, you deserve it!!! Man, I could have sworn I left you a comment last night. I think my computer has been possessed. Yeah, possessed. 'Cuz there ain't no way I actually sat down to send you a comment, then got up and walked off like an air head. No sir. Computer possession. Happens to me daily.

Glad you are back online Ness! And, I hope you are feeling better.

I instantly became addicted to Jodi Picoult's books and read just about anything I could get my hands on. A fellow blogger informed me that she is coming out with a new book in March! I can't wait!
