My Boys are Coming!

or according to the phone call I got last night: "Nessa, we coming. Bring toys. Bring green snake.(rubber and if he does, it goes in the fish tank because Aunt Nessa hates-hates-HATES anything resembling a snake!) Mikie(no one can get away with calling my son anything other than Michael except Carter and Cade)can't come. Love you. Bye."

And there you have the gospel according to almost 3 year old Carter.

So sometime around noon my 2 munchkins and BFF and her husband will arrive along with a big bin of toys and Aunt Nessa will be in the floor on a beanbag playing with her boys and watchin' Disney. The rest of them can go shop or sit and spin or whatever, I'm with my boys. We'll eat vanilla wafers, take naps and help Uncle Roger cook. Tomorrow morning Uncle Roger will make waffles and bacon and we'll play some more until they leave tomorrow evening.

Uncle Roger also will be in charge of getting new pics of Cade and Carter and you will be innundated with them on here. These 2 cuties are the closest I'll ever get to grandkids so I'm gonna enjoy them to the max! Their parents are divorced, less than stellar, have agendas of their own so Kathy and Bobby are raising the boys for now. Roger and I help out with buying clothes, diapers and oodles of love and attention. Not easy to raise a 2 and 3 y/o when you're in your mid 50's and 60's but Kathy was never able to have kids so this is a blessing both to her and the boys because she loves them with everything in her.

Just did a spoon count...there's 4. One to straighten the house, 1 to get groceries and 2 to play with my boys!

Have a beautiful Saturday. Mine suddenly just got better!

Oh Ness, I hope you had fun with your guys!!! How cool that they were still able to visit! I hope this morning snow surprise didn't put a damper on any travel plans.

I saw this post on another blog, and immediately thought of you. It's strange though, since I know you quilt, but I don't know if you just "normal" sew or not, but I still thought of you. I'm in love with this bag...it's actually making me want to lug out that sewing machine someone gave me that I've never used and give it a whirl.
