The Short Version

Kiereney had to go to ER about 10 Monday night for the unrelenting headache pain. I brought her home about 6 this morning after another CT and Compazine(after they finally found a vein they could access in the bend of her wrist because you can't give Compazine any route but IV-and after all that, it did nothing for the pain) and then gave her several milligrams of Dilaudid and finally got the pain down to a level she could leave with.

Because of the financial crunch, I haven't had my Ambien in several days and I am not sleeping. I have to be in St. Louis at 2:15 today for the annual cancer review.

Roger came down with another bout of gout yesterday and is not able to get around well. I have company arriving for Thanksgiving tomorrow afternoon and a ton to do.

Grandma managed to sneak around the six adult children and get Grandpa stashed in a nursing home last night less than 3 days after his surgery and it looks to be a permanent move. Michael is taking Kiereney down on Friday to see their grandfather at the nursing home and I have a feeling that Grandma will hear about this...

Michael will be in Thursday about noon if the Army doesn't change their minds again and leave Sunday morning. I'd like to buy the cadre over his Company for what they're worth and sell them for what they think they're worth. They have really screwed over a bunch of confident, capable 2nd Lieutenants under their "leadership and training" and destroyed Company morale in one fell swoop. Thank God he graduates out of that course 17 December and the next training course is supposed to treat them as the trained, confident 2nd Lieutenants that arrived at Ft. Sill 1 Nov.

I have no idea when I will be on here again so I will take this opportunity to wish all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Glad that you will have your sweet family with you on Thanksgiving. Enjoy the day and the love that will fill your home.

I am sorry that Kiereney is still dealing with the head pain. I also am sorry you are out of your ambein. I have been there so many times, and it isn't fun.

Poor Roger and his gout. I hope it gets better soon.

Please let us know how your appointment went today. I am praying for only good results!!

Happy Thanksgiving friend. When I count my blessings on Thanksgiving, you will be on that list!

God Bless~

I just wanted to say that my thoughts and prayers are with you as you tackle all these challenges.

I hope that you can take strength from your family - I know they get the same from you.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

Oh Ness, I just can't believe all of this. When you didn't post, I was hoping it was for good reasons. How much is poor KJ going to have to take; how much can KJ's Mom stand to watch her go through. I wish there was something I could do to help, something like at least get your Ambien for you. At least, I can always say prayers for you, and you know I will continue.

On a completely different subject, I was so, so happy that you heard from Lenny and his Mom. Please, please, please...if at all possible, if you write to her or anything, let her know I love her and miss her very much, and think about her a lot.

You've got my number; don't hesitate to use it :).

Ness,

Hope everyone in your family is doing well and that the reason that we haven't heard from you is that you are too busy enjoying your time with Michael and having a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Steph

PS. I made up my mind and it is up on my blog. Go check it out.

Oh Ness, I so wish that you and your family could get a break from all of this craziness. How is KJ doing now? I do hope she is feeling better. So sorry and sad to hear about Michael!

Have you ever tried the generic Ambien? I take it and it works just fine, plus, it only costs $10.00 a month. Check into it because you must get your sleep!

Big hugs and lots of love,
Debbie

Ness, could you send up a smoke signal or something? We worry. Because we love you. We worry. :)
