Sunday Kiereney Jo Update

SHE IS AT HOME!!!!!!!!

Roger got her about noon as I was working. She sees the neurosurgeon in a month. I was hoping they would discharge her with a care and feeding manual for the programmable shunt like will she set off airport security with the magnet on it and etc. but we didn't get one so I will have to depend upon the mighty Internet to fill me in.

She is understandably sore but getting around pretty good. She is allergic to the tape on the dressing so I had to take off the dressing and praying like anything that the Steri Strips stay in place without the bandage.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers that this shunt works and her headaches go away.

I have never been this tired in my life. I sleep at night and then get up and keep falling asleep all day long. This is so unlike me!

Roger turns 73 on Tuesday. I'm making him a French Chocolate Silk Pie and Kelli is making his birthday supper of chicken enchiladas with green chili. I think I'll be waiting on dessert that night...after all, it is his birthday.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and that the week ahead goes well.

I know almost nothing about shunts, BUT, if she doesn't already have one, she needs a medical alert bracelet.

I prefer www.americanmedicalid.com because they're slightly less unsightly than some of the other ones, but they hold less info.

Not a guidebook on shunts, but hopefully a little help. And hopefully things are going smoothly now.
