But first, is that NOT the cutest little bubble you've ever seen? We met up with Cade on Saturday and I asked if I could take a picture in his cute little outfit I bought him and he said, "OK," and then blew the bubble and I couldn't resist. I think I have another picture of the cute little outfit for another day...
Yeah, back to that better week...
Kiereney and I spent from 1 p.m. to 12 a.m. Monday in the ER with another horrific headache and her shunt was hurting. The CT scan looked better than it had been so I think this headache/shunt soreness is due to climbing over trees and branches and junk to walk to her dad's after the tornado/straight winds/interior hurricane(whatever they are calling it today). Kelli has her at the neurosurgeon's office now so he can check her.
And yeah, Mom lost it a couple of times in the ER with the ignorant staff...make up my mind. The doctor says, "Oh yeah, we're gonna start an IV for pain and nausea," and the nurse comes in and ships her back to the waiting room saying that she was only being looked at to see what tests she needed...that went over real well with KJ who was hurting unbelievably. Two hours later we made it back to another ER room where it took Demerol, morphine and Dilaudid to finally get the pain down to a 4. And that was after it took 3 times to get the IV established(she was headed for a femoral one or a central line if they couldn't get it the 3rd time) and 3 attempts to draw lab work.
I can't wait to see what fresh hell happens today!
Have a great Tuesday!
