Cancerversary 2009

Michael and I heading for breakfast at St. Louis Bread Company. The orange scone and bear claw was calling my name and the coffee was screaming for me...after this Michael went to the apartment to animal sit and Roger and I headed for St. Louis for the day.
I have an album on Facebook of the pictures from yesterday. I am going to leave you the links from the places we visited yesterday which are much more detailed. It was a wonderful day. I did everything I wanted to do but hadn't taken the time to do in St. Louis and it's only 16 miles from us. A definite Carpe Diem Day. Deb, the sea glass went with me as well as my cancer bracelet. It was a special day.
Thanks for all the kind comments about my keeping the blog going. It will go on and who reads it, reads it. I love to write and this is an easy way to keep track of the events in our family. Kiereney;s 10-14 hour surgery is scheduled for 5:30 a.m. on Monday, August 17. Please keep her in your prayers. I will be living at the hospital as she will be in ICU and ventilated until she is stable. They have given us the risks, possibilities, etc. and we know this is the last chance she has to overcome this pseudotumor cerebri and get on with the living of her life.
Take time to have a beautiful day for you have been given this day and only you can choose how to spend it.

Ness,

I am so glad to hear that you have decided to continue writing on your blog. Ultimately, your blog is for YOU. It is a journal and a good way to keep a history of life for yourself and your family. I truly believe that it is also a gift for our children.

I am so glad that the seaglass went on such a lovely journey with you. It kind of makes me feel like I was able to join you in spirit. That cathedral is absolutely gorgeous. I have always been enamored with Cathedrals and large churches. So beautiful...

Love the pic of you and Michael!

Hugs and love,
Deb
