It's GREAT to be home again!

Got home about 5 p.m. It rained the first half and sunshined the second half of the trip. Shania and Macon were simply over the moon with delirium when we opened the apartment door! Michael did a phenomenal job of keeping the home fires burning in our absence. I am so blessed to have him for a son.

Connor and Kyle had a tough time last night at the thought of us leaving this morning. We spent the evening playing board games with them and told them good night and good bye. It's much easier on them if they don't have to see us leave. We left about 3 a.m.

So much to tell and so many pictures to share! I hope to share pics on Thursday. Quite the cast of characters!

I shared with Hallie via IM about the trip home and termed it as a "quest". Stay tuned for details. I will say that it is all Peach's/Laura's fault and that Hallie will never look at her spoons the same way again...

I know that CJ made it home safely but I need to catch up with the rest of my blog family and I am devoting the rest of the evening to that.

I am exhausted but it's a good kind of exhausted. It was so worth the effort to see Roger with his kids, grandkids and siblings. And yes, he drove the entire trip. He is so good to me. I truly don't deserve his love and devotion.

I WILL look at my spoons differently forever - they have new meaning to me.

I have you to thank for that!!

But I will say they are a bit mad at you. I told them they don't cut it for your needs. They were a tad insulted!

Glad you made it home safely. Looking forward to hearing more about your "quest." My guy is pretty good too and often I feel I don't deserve him but I know that's's wrong for you too. Roger got a lovely gift in you!!

Ness, I'm so glad you're back and had such a good time! I'm looking forward to the pix, but I'm also looking forward to having some ammunition with which to tease Laura...BWAHAHAHA!

I'll bet Roger would have something to say about you not "deserving" him! In my humble opinion, I think you both got quite the deal when you found each other. You deserve him, and he deserves you, and it was meant to be that you found each other. In my humble opinion. God is good, huh? :)

How is Kiereney doing? Do we need to come there for The Stepmonster Smackdown? Hehehe...

So glad you guys are home safely Ness - I hope next time it will work out that we can meet someplace. I totally enjoyed your posts about the trip and I'm glad you had such a good time.

Oh yeah - Lauren didn't have time to come a tell you herself, but she tagged you while you were gone.

This is dachsiespouse, aka Roger, Dachsielvr’s husband and alter ego.
I want to clarify a few comments made above. I am, without a doubt, the lucky half of this marriage. I found someone (or she found me!) who loves me enough to nag me until I do something about my health, who encourages me when I feel down, who keeps me doing things outside the house when it would be easier to just vegetate. We are constantly trying to do things to make life easier for the other, and I know I would not survive very long without her.
She wants to pamper me and won’t let me pamper her. She loves my children and grandkids as her own, and would give the shirt off her back for them, for her own children, and her friends.
I thank my God that we found each other and hope that when we leave this life we do it together so neither of us have to live without the other.
Thanks for the opportunity to chime in about my very favorite person.
