Got home about 5 p.m. It rained the first half and sunshined the second half of the trip. Shania and Macon were simply over the moon with delirium when we opened the apartment door! Michael did a phenomenal job of keeping the home fires burning in our absence. I am so blessed to have him for a son.
Connor and Kyle had a tough time last night at the thought of us leaving this morning. We spent the evening playing board games with them and told them good night and good bye. It's much easier on them if they don't have to see us leave. We left about 3 a.m.
So much to tell and so many pictures to share! I hope to share pics on Thursday. Quite the cast of characters!
I shared with Hallie via IM about the trip home and termed it as a "quest". Stay tuned for details. I will say that it is all Peach's/Laura's fault and that Hallie will never look at her spoons the same way again...
I know that CJ made it home safely but I need to catch up with the rest of my blog family and I am devoting the rest of the evening to that.
I am exhausted but it's a good kind of exhausted. It was so worth the effort to see Roger with his kids, grandkids and siblings. And yes, he drove the entire trip. He is so good to me. I truly don't deserve his love and devotion.
And the band played on... - ...yes, that was me a few weeks ago imploring everyone to start their blogging engines again. And now, look, I've taken weeks off...again. Such is life. ...
